Holy Orders
Holy Orders, like Marriage, is a Sacraments of Service. It is other directed. It is a sharing in the mission by serving others.
We all share in a common priesthood, but within it exists another participation in the mission of the Church; the ministerial priesthood.
There are three degrees of the ordained:
- Bishops
- Priests (presbyters)
- Deacons
The sacrament is conferred by the laying of hands from the bishop.
