Sherry Szymanski

My name is Sherry Szymanski and I am a Member At Large of the St. Edith Parish Council.  My family and I love the St. Edith Parish and School community.  We have always felt welcome and like we belong from the moment we walked through the doors.  My two boys Jake (7) and Ryan (5) both attend St. Edith Catholic School and our family has become early bird regulars at the 8:30 mass.  I previously taught at the elementary level in the Archdiocesan of Detroit for 11 years and have come to a deeper understanding of my faith through educating youth.  Focusing on instilling strong catholic values in the children of our school and parish has become a passion of mine.  You can often find me volunteering at St. Edith Catholic School.  I am the Chair of the St. Edith Parent Association (SEPA) and enjoy subbing, doing lunch duty, and helping out inside of the classroom.  I am eager to serve on Parish Council and continue my spiritual journey.
