Elisabeth Johnston

I am a member of the St. Edith community as an alumnus of the school (Go Eagles!) and as a parishioner, first joining with my family in the early 1980s and returning after college in the early 2000s. My earliest involvement with St. Edith was as an altar server and I joined the Parish Pastoral Council in 2019. I currently serve as the vice-chair, and I began my second term on the council in fall 2022. For me, the people make St. Edith - including our pastor, the staff, and most importantly, parishioners! Some of my closest friends (and their families) I met while attending St. Edith School and we still fondly reminisce about our good times while students. Additionally, the friendships I have developed as an adult with fellow parishioners, whether through parish activities and/or by just getting to know the people I attend Mass with, are great sources of support (and fun times)! As a Parish Pastoral Council member, I have gained a better understanding of how St. Edith operates. Additionally, as a Parish Pastoral Council member, I recognize the important role I play in ensuring that St. Edith Parish Is an Inclusive, welcoming, dynamic, and safe environment for all parish members.
