Helping Hands Ministry
From time to time we get phone calls from people needing someone to help with grocery shopping or yard work. Most of the time the calls come from elderly folks or from someone who has recently been unwell and isn’t able to do tasks they have been able to do in the past.
You would not be paying for the groceries; just connecting with someone needing the help and between the two of you, you would work out a schedule, you’d pick up a list and money, etc.
The other thing we get calls about, especially from elderly folks, is the need for someone to cut their lawn, rake leaves, shovel show, etc. These tasks are all things they once could do themselves but no longer are able. They often either cannot afford a commercial lawn/snow removal service, or do not meet the criteria of said service when they call to get information.
If you would be interested in being put on a list to provide these services, please either email or call me with your contact information, and what you would be willing to do should the need arise. Then, when we get a call for these types of tasks, I will put you in contact with the recipient and between the two of you, you can figure out how to proceed!
Thanks in advance for being willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need a little help.
