Adopt A Room

Join St. Edith in creating welcoming homes for families in need by Adopting A Room at the Samaritas Family Center in Westland. The Samaritas Family Center offers emergency housing for two-parent families, single mothers or fathers with children and pregnant women. It is one of the only shelters in Michigan that allows a two-parent family to stay together. Providing needed items for newly arrived refugee families as they flee the violence and unrest of their homelands and begin a new life in Michigan.

There are a variety of areas where you can help: 

Decorating ~ Painting ~ Fundraising ~ Shopping Making and refurbishing furniture ~ Driving, sorting, and organizing Making pillows, throw blankets, and other items
