Thank you to our generous St. Edith parish family for your incredible support of the 2025 Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). Through your generosity, St. Edith exceeded our CSA goal by more than $37,000! Even better, the excess did not affect our 2026 goal amount, and 100% of the funds over goal remained right here at St. Edith to support our parish ministries and programs. We are truly grateful for the continued kindness and stewardship of our parish community.
Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) 2026
Each year, the Church calls us back to the heart of our identity as disciples—inviting us to reflect on the gifts God has entrusted to us and how we are called to place them at the service of His people. As I prayed about this year’s Catholic Services Appeal, one verse continually rose to the surface: “For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be” (Matthew 6:21).
These words remind us that our mission flows from what we love most. When our hearts are rooted in Christ, His mission becomes our own—to proclaim the Gospel, form disciples, accompany those who suffer, and bring the light of His love throughout southeast Michigan.
God has blessed each of us with time, talents, and resources meant not to be held back, but shared generously. Through faithful stewardship, we participate directly in the Church’s work of evangelization.
The Catholic Services Appeal is an expression of this shared mission, sustaining ministries that form clergy, strengthen families, serve the poor, and renew our parishes. I invite you to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to take part. I am deeply grateful for your faith, generosity, and commitment to Christ’s mission.
Most Reverend Edward J. Weisenburger
The 45th annual Catholic Services Appeal is underway. Take a moment to reflect on God’s many gifts to you and, in a spirit of Christian stewardship, live out our Gospel message theme, “Your Faith. Your Heart. His Mission.”
Our parish’s CSA target for 2026 is $162,880, our share of supporting CSA-funded ministries, programs, and services. If we exceed our target, 100 percent of the amount over goal will be returned directly to our parish and will not affect our 2027 target. This makes CSA the best time to give additional gifts to our parish. If we do not meet the target, however, the shortfall will be taken from our general fund.
As Christian stewards and people of faith, we are called to accept God’s gifts gratefully, nurture them wisely, share them in charity, and give back to God a portion of what we have through our prayer, service, and generosity. It is important that each of us makes an equal sacrifice relative to our means to support the Kingdom of God here on earth.
