Welcome to St. Edith Catholic Church!

ALL ARE WELCOME AT ST. EDITH PARISH

We will welcome you regardless of your present status in the Catholic Church. We will welcome you regardless of your current family situation or marital status. We will welcome you if you are a staunch Catholic or do not like organized religion. We will not judge you based upon your personal history, age, race, ethnic background, appearance, sexual orientation or gender identity. We welcome children, even when they act like children. If there is no crying, our Parish is dying! We are all on a spiritual journey, trying to find our way. All are welcome to join us on our spiritual journey at St. Edith.

Letter from
Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger

Archdiocese of Detroit Cost of Arms

April 3, 2025

Dear Father,

The Michigan Catholic Conference recently mailed you a copy of their most recent FOCUS on the topic of immigration, Seeing Christ in the Immigrant.” I found it to be informative on Catholic teaching, balanced, and compassionate. I understand parishes with large Hispanic communities were able to request bulk copies in English and Spanish earlier this year.

If you haven't already, I would encourage you to request additional copies to distribute at your parish, or perhaps even better, download the material from the MCC website and add it to your parish website or bulletin. It is available in both English and Spanish.

May God bless you abundantly,
Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger

2025-26 Enrollment

Monday, January 6, 2025, will begin enrollment for the 2025-26 school year. The re-admission process will be completely via FACTS this year. The process will take about five minutes, so it is quick and painless. St. Edith School Families, please fill out the re-enrollment packet by Wednesday, January 22nd. Availability for each grade will be needed for Open House and open enrollment. After this date, we cannot guarantee spots for the grades in high demand; such as: early childhood, kindergarten, current K/next year first grade, and current third/next year fourth grade classes.

Re-admission process is simple, all you have to do is: Go to factsmgt.com > Log In Here > For families > Family Portal Login > login > click Apply / Enroll > Enrollment > Start Enrollment Packet

Tuition rates will be finalized and published by February 1st. There will be a slight increase, but it will still be lower than many of the area Catholic schools and on par with St. Michael. FACTS will not be charged with registration fees until the spring. The registration fee is $300 per student, capped at $900 per K-8 family, and $150 per student for PS3, PK4, and K Prep.

If your child is in preschool and you are not sure of the next grade (i.e. a PS3 going to K Prep, a PK4 undecided about K Prep or K, etc.), please email Jackie Slaviero (jslaviero@stedith.org) and/or Ruth Scaramucci (rscaramucci@stedith.org) before filling out the re-enrollment application. If you will not be re-enrolling, please log into your family portal, click Apply / Enroll > Enrollment > Will Not Re-Enroll.
